Thursday Night TV

My friend Jenny posted a comment on my ramblings about American Idol and Dancin'. She said that she has a hard time getting anything done on Thursdays because of Grey's Anatomy! Well that reminded me that Thursday night is Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, and October Road! Now I have another night where I won't be getting anything done.

I definitely need to get a DVR -- I'm turning into a couch potato!

My youngest daughter, Stephanie, has her first "alone" babysitting job tonight. Last year when she would babysit I had her do it at home so I could supervise. She's 13 so figure she's old enough now. She'll have a regular Thursday night job plus will be getting one or two days a week during the summer. I think it's time we sat down and did a budget for her too so she can save to help with her school clothes next Fall.

Since Steph was gone I went to Costco after work and had a hot dog & coke for dinner. As I was walking up and down the aisles I kept finding things that were so cool. Costco now carries quite a few organic items. I found a whole line of organic spices. Got so excited about that I had to call Missy on my cell phone to tell her about it. Doesn't take much to amuse me!

Better go get the decaf coffee going and get in my comfy chair. The evening's TV lineup starts in 30 minutes!

Havn't had time to get into Ugly Betty...too busy with the kids still that early (it starts at 7pm here...8pm is Grey's anatomy) but isn't October Road good too? I love it when they are new shows. Next week a 2 hour Grey's???? I will have to PLAN for that..haha
I wish our nearest Costco wasn't an hour and 1/2 away..havnt' been in ages. I love living in the boonies but it does have it's small drawbacks.

Mikki -- you have to watch October Road. It's about this group of friends who grew up together in a small MA town. The main guy left right after graduation and didn't come back for 10 years. He wrote a book during that time about his friends and the town using fictious names. Now he's come back and it's about the relationships between him, his family, and friends. Of course he left behind the love of his life who also happens to not be married and has a son who is 10 years old. It's hinted that the boy may be the main character's son but they're still keeping us in suspense!

Oh...and also..the dad of the guy who comes back to town is Tom Berrenger..well worth watching just to watch him!!! I love when he tells his son that the little boy has his mother's eyes! (his wife I mean, not the little boy's mother) and Some of the friends on the show are so quirky and fun to watch. I LOVE the part about the bartender gal and the guy who she is dating now. So neat!
