Lazy Sunday

It's been a lazy Sunday around here. The temperature is about 84 and when it's that hot I'm staying inside in the A/C. Steph and I did venture out to get a cool drink but that's the only time I've left the house.

I've come to realize that I'm a definite nester. My best days are when I don't have to leave my house at all. I could probably live in the country, go to town about once a week, and be a happy camper.

Next week will be busier with my school stuff, Steph's school stuff, and more house cleaning. Last week I took Steph's room apart and cleaned it from top to bottom. How can teenagers be so piggy when it comes to their rooms? I also cleaned my upstairs bathroom. This week I will work in my room and then I'm tackling the downstairs. I hate to get started cleaning but then when I'm in the middle of it and finally get it done it feels so good!

I hope to get some flowers and some veggies planted in pots this next week too. My patio looks so bare! I found some really nice Patio Tomato plants at Albertsons and I'm going to get 2 of them. Red geraniums will be in order too and a begonia for my front porch.

Hope you all have had a wonderful Sunday!! Have a good week next week!

Hugs,
Kay

I love staying at home too Kay. I remember cleaning my son's room one time and found a dried up peanut butter and jelly sandwich in one of his drawers . We used to call him Nasty Marvin, after the old comercial on TV .
I got my geraniums and begonia's last week . It is cold here this morning, 40 degrees in SE Tn.This is blackberry winter. But it will be a scorcher after this goes through.

I'm a nester, too. Mom was before me. I used to think she was crazy and now I've taken her place on the very same nest! LOL Silly people, aren't we?

*hugs*

I have become a "nester" also! I used to love to go shopping and riding all over the place. Now? give me an iced coffee and a rocking chair, and I'm a happy camper!!!! Nice, huh????

84 degrees? Why that's cool window opening temperatures in my part of the country ... We are already averaging mid 90's & will see close to 100 by mid June. September will bring us back down to the mid 90's and it will stay there until mid October at least.

Nesting ... that's a much nicer term than "homebody", which is how my kiddo's refer to me.

I can totally relate to the "piggy" kid's room(s). It seems my 4 youngest are most comfortable in a "sty".

I enjoy staying at home, too... I've even been called a hermit before- and that's alright by me! LOL
Sounds like you have a busy week ahead, Miss Kay- don't work too hard!

You have been quite the busy bee!!!
My mom always says that she can find plenty to keep her busy right in her own home. I am beginning to believe her. I love being at home and "puttering about".
I also wanted to say that I know what you mean about cleaning kids rooms. Where does all that stuff come from?
Hope you are having a blessed week-end.
