Quick Update

Sorry I haven't updated for a few days. I am starting to feel better. I have hardly any pain now but I just don't have any energy. My grandson and daughter have been great while I'm recuperating. Justin is a great cook (he worked in a restaurant for 2 years) so he has done all the cooking. I sent him to the store with a list and he even did the shopping for me! Stephany has been keeping the laundry done, kitchen cleaned, and is my errand girl if I need water, etc so I don't have to go up and down the stairs.

I'm still having a hard time sleeping because I have to either sleep on my left side or my back - neither of which are my preference! I would love to lay on my right side but that's going to be out for quite a while. So I'm awake every couple of hours and have even slept in the nice soft swivel rocker in my room with my feet propped on my office chair. It's actually quite comfortable.

I'm still on a low-fat diet but have many more choices now so that's been a treat. I even had beef one night for dinner - it tasted so good! I still have some issues with nausea each day but I'm sure that will go away in time too.

I think that's enough whining for now!! I'm ready to get completely back on my feet so I can get serious about job hunting. Thanks so much for all your prayers and notes!! Love you all!

Dear Kay,
I am so sorry to hear about your having surgery. Hope you feel better pretty soon. I am a new follower; please visit me when you have time.
It sounds as though you are well loved by your family. How wonderful to have help when you need it so badly!
I look forward to hearing that you are up and about AND sleeping on your right side!HAHA!

The time will pass and you'll be able to sleep as you want soon. I know. When I had my breast surgery, I couldn't sleep on my left side, and that's the side I always sleep on. So it was rough going for me through the healing. But God is good and the time passes.

Know that you're still in my prayers.

*hugs*

Hello Kay. I hope your healing continues in a timely manner adn taht you begin to feel renewed. For energy restoration after surgery, and I'm sure antibiotics, you'll find probotics to be very helpful. They restore the good bacteria to your gut and do amazing things for recovery. I use Soloray Multidolphis 12, found in the cooler section at the health food store. Worth every penny. Heal well!
